libavutil55 software package provides FFmpeg library with functions for simplifying programming - runtime files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavutil55
libavutil55 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavutil55 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavutil55 *
You will get with libavutil55 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
